Where are you gonging?
I dont’know.

The film features a girl who constantly carries her glass water bottle, incessantly drinking water as she wanders and gazes into the night. This short film is a portrayal of my youth, a depiction of a phase of confusion. The memories from my adolescence are always tinged with blue, dark, damp, and a sense of loss—as if I was endlessly searching for something, yet I never found it. I use the element of water to express the longing of the body and soul, painting a picture of the urban teenage inner world filled with dampness, emptiness, oppression, and chaos. The water in the film is not just a physical substance, but also a metaphor for emotional and psychological states. My past memories, sticky like the sweat of a hot summer day, symbolize fluidity, change, depth, and cleansing. Water is not just a means to quench thirst but also a way to release emotions and loneliness. Our bodies, like vessels, continuously seek water to fill the voids within our spirits, reflecting the struggle of adolescents to find a sense of safety and belonging in modern society. Amid the suppression and alienation of urban life, water also becomes a purifying force that can cleanse inner impurities, bringing clarity and renewal to the soul. Relentlessly and uncompromisingly, it seeks connections with society. The short film is not just a narrative about adolescent issues; it is also a critique and reflection on modern urban life, exploring the profound disconnection between the youth and society, and examining how one can find their true self and a sense of belonging in today's world.
